Joy Marie Leak-Gray, North Carolina Natural Hair Educator, Custom Wig Designer, CEO & founder of Natural Addictions Hair Extensions & Beauty Care, was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. She has always had a passion for art, fashion, & hair as a young girl. Making it a mission to play dress up in her older relative’s makeup & clothes. By the time she was in middle school, she would braid or style her friends hair for talent shows, plays, or just for a trip to the mall.
Joy started her beauty & fashion career in 1997 as she studied Cosmetology at Vance Granville Community College and Apparel design at North Carolina Central University. She was trained in two premier hair salons in Durham, North Carolina and was provideded mentorship by two celebrity trained master stylist While raising her children, she entered into the corporate world and worked at SunTrust Bank, while continuing to practice her beauty and fashion hobbies on the side.
In 2011, she founded Natural Addictions Hair & Beauty after endlessly searching for natural hair and skincare products for her children. She also saw a need for quality virgin textured hair extensions in the state of North Carolina. As a Natural Hair Care Educator she now dedicates her life to teaching others the art & science of natural hair care and providing hair loss solutions.
